In 2012, Central Florida Dragon Boat teams who register and pay their entry fee can "Paddle for a Purpose" by selecting a 501(c)3 charity
and encouraging donors to pledge money for their cause. The Rotary Club of Tavares will provide the repository for the pledges on our
website and present the charity representative with a check during the team award ceremonies on race day.

For example: The Rotary Youth Exchange Students (Team RYE) will be paddling for Polio Plus, a Rotary International Program to
eradicate polio world wide. The team will solicit pledges for their cause and have donors go to this website and click on the pledge
button to donate to Polio Plus (checks will also be accepted - contact co-chair Colleen McGinley at 352-343-2531 or
director@tavareschamber.com to find out how).

Once a team registers and pays for their entry, they can contact co-chair Colleen McGinley at 352-343-2531 or
director@tavareschamber.com or Dee Johns at 352-508-9257 or dee@tavaresrotary@gmail.com and let them know what 501(c)3
charity they would like to paddle for. We will then place it on the website so they can start collecting for their cause.

Get registered early and get started collecting for your favorite charity now!
